For Proper Sleep

Insomniac!! No I am not talking about Enrique’s latest music offering. I am referring to you, who suffer by sleeplessness. Don’t shred away temporary sleeplessness as a minuscule problem. It may eventually snowball to something terrible. Sleep is very essential. Your mind and body needs rest for a minimum of six hours a day.

I have listed down few do’s here which if you follow with reverence may bring those childhood days of sound sleep back. Not long back right? You wouldn’t even wake up on the sound of a bullet fired!

1. Follow a regular bedtime. In fact have a strict routine for all your activities.
2. Don’t be heavy on stomach before going to bed.
3. Quit smoking and avoid alcohol.
4. Cut down the caffeine intake and junk food intake. Eat healthy.
5. Drink lots of water especially ten minutes before going to bed.
6. Exercise moderately each day.
7. When you are on bed stop doing anything else. Don’t watch T.V and don’t keep staring at the clock. Reading is fine until its light.
8. Above all don’t let your mind wander. Just feel that you are sleeping. Close your eyes and sulk down to the world of partial death. Yoga and other concentration and relaxation techniques may help you out a lot.
