Anabolic steroids in baseball

The history of steroids dates back in 19th century when people first understood the importance and effects of steroids like testosterone. It was in 1930 when three scientists artificially prepared testosterone as an anabolic steroid. The first effect was observed on the dogs and after getting positive results it was tried on men. The weight lifting team of America initiated the use of anabolic steroids to improve the stamina and power of action. But later it was banned by most of the sports authorities including IOC banned these anabolic steroids. They have introduced special tests to be performed on the sports men especially the baseball teams to make sure that they are not using any kind of steroids before the games.

When the anabolic steroids are introduced to the body they provide the players with instant energy. As the level of anabolic hormones increase to a certain extent in the blood, the strength and endurance capacity of the human body increases drastically. We all know that the game of baseball needs a lot of stamina and constant supply of energy. This is the reason why often the baseball players take anabolic steroids as a dope in order to perform extra ordinarily during the matches. This is definitely unethical but the athletes often prefer to buy steroids from various stores to outperform the fellow athletes. But they should be careful about the adverse side effects which can prove to be really harmful in the long run. And if any player is caught using anabolic steroids, his sports career can be at stake.
