Drinking Water And Weight Loss

Drinking water not only quenches thirst but helps in losing excess weight.

1. Water helps in keeping body in proper working condition and increases energy levels. This increased energy helps in increasing metabolism rate and burns excess calories faster.

2. If there is lack of water in body, kidneys do not function properly and this results in pressure on liver to burn less fat. This fat is stored in body leading to weight gain and associated problems. Drinking enough water flushes out toxins through kidneys and through urinary system, thus allowing kidneys to function properly.

3. It is advisable to drink in between meals as this will give feeling of fullness resulting in less food intake and ultimately leading to proper and just diet and control of weight.

4. Drinking sufficient amount of water helps body in digesting food. If the food is not properly digested, it accumulates in the digestive system leading to constipation. If the food is digested properly and eliminated out of body in the form of waste, it keeps appetite in check.

5. If there is insufficient water in the body, body tries to retain whatever water it has and this leads to water retention. The body looks swollen and this can give rise to other complications.
